As far as what to wear... I love it when people wear casual dresses to their open houses. However, if you enjoy playing sports this might be a problem. If that is the case I would suggest wearing your favorite shirt with a pair of shorts. In either case, make sure it is in a color and style that you feel really beautiful in. This way you will feel and look confident in something that you really love!
For your open house color theme, I'd choose a favorite color and find a complimentary or base color (white, black, or brown) to go with it. :)
